The Pantheon of Bulgarian Renaissance leaders (Bulgaria) - short information

It was erected in the Park of Renaissance leaders and represents a charnel house – a national monument, designed by the architect Nikola Nikolov and the sculptor Nikola Terziev, where the bones of 453 fighters for the national freedom are laid. Thirty of the leaders have their own graves: Lyben Karavelov, Zahari Stoyanov, Angel Kanchev, Tonka Pbretenova, Stefan Karadja Panayot Hitov and other eminent persons. In 2001 a museum exposition and a chapel were opened in the Pantheon.
